NEHC Men's Weekly Honors - Week Ten

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly awards for games played through Sunday, January 26th. New England College’s Jack Herron (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) and UMass Boston’s Michael Krupinski (Dallas, Texas) were selected Co-Players of the Week. New England College teammates Anthony Beaulieu (Lawrence, Mass.) and Egor Osipik (Minsk, Belarus) were tabbed Goaltender of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Co-Players of the Week

Jack Herron - New England College
(Sophomore, Forward - Lake in the Hills, Ill.)
Herron played a part in all six of the team's goals in two wins against Southern Maine this weekend. On Friday, Herron tallied three assists in the Pilgrim's 3-0 shutout win. The sophomore followed up Friday's performance with a one goal, two assist showing in Saturday's 3-1 victory. Herron led the team with a +5 rating on the ice.

Michael Krupinski – UMass Boston
(Senior, Defense - Dallas, Texas)
Krupinski led the Beacons to a 2-0 week against the VTSU Castleton Spartans. On Friday, the senior defenseman assisted on four of the five UMass Boston goals in their 5-5 OT draw, resulting in UMass Boston winning 2-1 in the following shootout. On Saturday, Krupinski netted the game-tying and game-winning goals in the final minutes of UMB's 5-4 win. Krupinski was +6 in UMB's thrilling 2-0 weekend and a critical piece for Coach Belisle's rotation.

Goaltender of the Week

Anthony Beaulieu - New England College
(Freshman, Goaltender - Lawrence, Mass.)
Beaulieu continued his stellar play this season with a pair of wins over Southern Maine. On Friday night, Beaulieu earned his second shutout of the season with a 26-save blanking of the Huskies in a 3-0 victory. The freshman made 31 more stops in Saturday's 3-1 Pilgrim win. On the week, Beaulieu corralled 57 saves to the tune of a .983 save percentage and a 0.50 goals-against average. Among all NEHC goaltenders, the rookie ranks 2nd in saves, 3rd in save percentage, and 4th in goals-against average this season.

Rookie of the Week

 

Egor Osipik - New England College
(Freshman, Forward - Minsk, Belarus)
Osipik continued his strong freshman season with back-to-back two-point games in a pair of Pilgrim victories over Southern Maine this week. The rookie scored two goals in Friday night's 3-0 win and assisted on two more in Saturday's 3-1 triumph. Osipik is up to seven goals and six assists this season.

HONOR ROLL

Matt Lenz - Albertus Magnus College
(Graduate, Goaltender - Grapevine, Texas)

Lenz made 48 saves on 49 shots in the Falcon’s win over Salve Regina, finishing with an impressive .980 save percentage.

Aiden Robson - Vermont State Castleton
(Freshman, Defense - Kelowna, British Columbia)
Robson collected a career-high four points against New England College on Friday. The freshman defender assisted on three goals and added a goal of his own in the 5-5 overtime draw.

Tanner Daniels – Hobart College
(Junior, Forward – Edinboro, Pa.)
Daniels had a goal and three assists in two wins for the Statesmen over the weekend. The junior forward had a goal and an assist on Friday before dishing out two assists on Saturday.
